Measure 15.0.3725 On-demand Release Notes

This version of Measure Desktop is offered on-demand. It contains new features, improvements, and bug fixes beyond the current public version. Items flagged as new are updates from the previous on-demand build (3713). For information about the current public version of Measure, please see our General Release Notes.

New Features

  • Extended Polygon Draw
    • New drawing tool that facilitates the creation of rooms with shared walls
    • Creates lines automatically when used with vectorized blueprints
    • Suppress line detection by holding the Shift key
    • Right-clicking suspends line drawing with the Extended Polygon tool

  • Room Multiplier
    • It is now possible to draw a room once and have it allocated many times

  • Stairs
    • Access to new Stairway Library
    • Allow editing of non-straight stairs
    • The creation and editing of spiral stairways is now possible
    • Non-Straight Stairs are now displayed in 3D
    • Moving, flipping, editing sides and rotating are all supported when working with stairways
    • Stairway sections may now be attached and detached
    • Implemented waterfall allocation and borders for non-straight stairs
    • Added checkbox to the stairs dialog that activates/deactivates the expanded view of stairs
    • Edges, spindles and handrails were implemented for the 3D view of non-straight stairs
    • Desktop-Mobile conversion of stairs is fully functional
    • Suppression of risers on stairways is allowed

  • A new dialog exists that allows the user to set multiplier factors for all sheets from one place

Improvements

  • New: The option to use Metafiles, which improves performance at the cost of system resources, is deactivated by default on less powerful systems (MSR-4955)
  • New: Support has been added for tile and other hard products on stairs (MSR-4089)
  • New: Enhanced stairway compatibility when viewing stairways created in older versions (MSR-4089)
  • New: Users are no longer able to apply an invalid width to stairs (MSR-4949)
  • New: Copy button on the Product List has been renamed to Duplicate in order to clarify its actual function (MSR-4060)

  • New: Tile editor drawing area was not refreshing correctly when transparency was greater than zero (MSR-4256)
  • New: Undo was crashing the system under certain circumstances (MSR-5011)

  • Hardened code so that jobs that formerly could not be opened may now be opened
  • Clicking on a stairway border selects the stairs but does not cause the main product to change
  • Lay direction, as entered in the stairs editor, was not always correctly applied
  • Stringer height was not being duplicated in all scenarios

  • Product color grid is now displaying correctly on the Products dialog for all DPI settings
  • Worksheet Excel Export was not exporting Customer Name or Job Name
  • Reallocation no longer allocates unnecessarily
  • Vertical compression did not always respect the length-only cut gap method
  • Punch out operations do not completely remove transitions
  • When a room that contains an add-on is split, the add-on is now retained in the correct locations
  • The Cut Plan now fully respects the millimeter setting
  • Stairs now respect the "Room Name" flag on the Options dialog. (When unchecked the room name shows only when the room is selected)
  • The stairway dialog uses the selected product upon initial stairway creation
  • Undoing a cut move now works properly

  • Using Delete Point on circles or ellipses (both rooms and holes) no longer causes a crash
