Add ability to ignore transitions for selected segments

Adding on Behalf of Client
---
Applying an Add-on with a perimeter calculation method allows for users to uncheck "include transitions" when removing the add-on from some walls/edges of a room this becomes a Selected Segment calculation method and no longer ignores transitions. Transitions then have to be deselected manually. Client is asking for the ability to ignore transitions when using selected segments.

Utilizing the "Choose Calculation Method" Window allows selected segments to be selected, giving the option to uncheck "Include any Transitions" would be helpful.

  • To add, calculation method changes from "Outside of Room" to "Selected Segments" when any portion of the room is changed.  So if an architect wants one wall with a different color base - and you remove base from that wall to change the base - the entire perimeter of the room now has the original base.  This will include transitions even if you had 'Include any transitions' unchecked.  Also applies for removing base from a glass curtainwall.  ANY change to the perimeter add-on changes the calculation to 'Selected Segments'.

  • This is a major issue and has cost us money because the changes were not always apparent. It costs hours of time to go through and double check each side of the transition. In large projects, this was many, many hours, not to mention the lack of confidence that we now have in the program's calculations. Add borders to these rooms and it has been a nightmare.

  • We use transitions to cancel out perimeter addons and/or change a base on specific walls.  They seem to stick well and are easily visible.  You don't have to select a product for a transition so you can use "none" and use them at doorways or wherever to cancel out the perimeter addon.  I don't trust selected segments, they always bounce around and are not reliable if changes are made to the room dimensions.
