Option for rounding up of Roll Products to whole LF for roll size, and Item Products to whole SF or SY sizes.
Include an option to round up the total roll size to a whole foot or round to the next "cut increment" measurement. This would go a long way towards meeting the ordering and estimating requirements of many vendors and some of our clients.
Make it a default option for vendor setup, as some allow for ordering in decimal quantities, where others require us to order in whole SF or SY quantities.

James: We've implemented a sticky project setting for Cut Increment in version 4.0. Can you confirm that this is getting what you want?
You can currently do this by using the user added waste or user added length columns in the worksheet, enter the decimal amount desired to make your quantities whole SF/SY numbers or the user added length for to achieve a whole LF number.
It kind of a pain to add user waste as a percentage and raise/lower until you hit the exact LF. A system option to round to certain presets would be great. We round up to the nearest 3" or 1/4' for our rolls. A preset of 1", 3", 4", 6", and 1' would speed up carpet cuts especially for production houses where the room dimensions stay the same but the room selections constantly change.
The user waste isn't limited to percent, a user can adjust the waste by SF/SY or LF, in addition a user added length option for roll goods is available.
As for a preset, Measure does have the ability to add a cut increment, this option lets cuts come out in a desired cut increment. 3" is a common cut increment, that will produce cuts like 12'9", 32'6, 21'3, etc.
A users snapping unit can also be used to create desired dimensions of rooms drawn on the screen, 3" is a popular snapping units for residential user, where as builder and commercial user typically have a 1" snapping unit.
After much looking since Ecommerce Products that are Imported to the Cloud from RFMS have the Cut Increment field greyed out for me I found the ability to edit the Cut Increment as a column that was initially hidden in the Product List. To access: Product List>Columns>[Scroll Down and Check] Estimating: cut increment box>OK. Now the Cut Increments can be set by product on a by job basis.
The ability to set a default in Measure Options would still be preferable since many of us utilize a set increment company wide.
After playing with the Cut Increment setting a little I have a couple of observations. I set the Cut Increment to 3" and assigned carpet to a single room. With a 0" Cut Increment carpet the quantity needed is 26'2" with the 3" Cut Increment the quantity needed is 26'3" so the Cut Increment is functioning as I want here.
However if I add multiple rooms the quantity with a 0" Cut Increment is 79'0" (10.2% Waste) and with a 3" Cut Increment it is 79'6" (10.8% Waste). Not sure why it is adding twice for 5 Rooms and 5 "Cuts". Nor is it keeping the Original 79 LF which is what I would actually like to order.
My team would appreciate the ability for the system to round up to whole units automatically.
