Please fix the Auto-Pan!

If you can't give us the option to revert back to the OLD way, then PLEASE let us adjust the speed of the new Auto-Pan. We should be able to speed up the panning the closer that we are zoomed in. And why did you use the "r" key for suspend the panning? I wish you had picked a closer key to the "Ctrl" key.

Sorry to you don't like the change to the pan feature, it was designed to make it more fluid than it was in previous versions. If you are looking for a faster way to pan we suggest you use the pan feature that works with the scroll wheel of a mouse, in addition if you have a scroll wheel that tilts side to side, it makes pan faster than Measure Auto-pan. The thumbnail overview is another nice tool that lets you pan around a project.
