SNAPPING AMOUNT

How can I make the snapping amount of a .5” remain as the standard?  Currently it always reverts to 1” on every new file and I have to change them individually.

Snapping is the drawing distance you record on the screen, when you draw a line it will move in 1" segments if you have 1" as your snapping.  Some users use 3" inches to draw in 3" segments.

The major and minor grid is the "graph paper" lines on the screen if the grid is turned on.  Default lines are 1' for small 10' for the major lines, they can be adjusted by the user.

    Hope this helps.

  • You can make your snapping distance .5" but I would not recommended it as we working in an industry that deals in 1" or 3" measurements.

Just for clarification on my end why would you want the snapping under 1" ?
