Forms Quantity WRONG

Has anyone noticed that when you use forms for roll goods, that it takes the roll cuts and multiplies the correct cut by the waste percentage? In the seams portion the roll cuts are accurate, then when we go to forms, the cuts are multiplied by the waste factor. This is happening on ALL our projects and we used forms for making cuts prior to installers going on site. This NEEDS to be fixed ASAP!!!!!

  • Do you have a value for 'User Waste' in the Worksheet?  That is the only way I have additional amounts to what is shown in the Seams or in the ESTIMATE Explorer.

  • When I look at the forms portion for our Products, Measure takes the waste factor from the product  and multiplies that with the square footage of the room to get the quantity. When you add a waste factor to get the quantities we need that number is being multiplied 2 times.  That gives it a much larger quantity than is needed. I first noticed with roll good and now see that even the square footage goods Measure is doing the same.  Notice how it took the Net area and multiplied that number by the waste of the roll goods. NOT GOOD!!!!

  • What you screenshot is the difference between net and gross area.  Example:  draw a 10'-0"x10'-0" room and put and 12'-0" broadloom in it.  You will have to order a 10'-0" piece of broadloom to cover the floor in one piece.  So the net area of the floor is 100sf (10'x10' = 100sf) but the gross you have to order is 120sf (10'x12' =120sf).  The difference is 20sf which is the waste, which will be 16.67% (20sf / 120sf).
