The formatting, organization, and layout of a form can be saved for later use within the same project, or on other projects. Additionally, the software has several default templates that can be used as-is or customized and saved for future use.
Access Saved Form and Template options from the File menu in the Generate Forms screen. User-created templates have a icon next to them, whereas default templates are shown with a icon.
Saved Forms vs. Templates
Saved Forms and Templates both allow estimators to quickly apply predefined form layouts to the current estimate. This includes the method by which the data is organized, how the form is sorted, and the information displayed in the header and footer. Although the two features are similar there are notable differences:
- Saved Forms
- Saved only within the current project.
- Can be loaded from other projects.
- Templates
- Saved into the Measure software.
- Once a template has been created, it can be applied to any project directly from the "Generate Forms'" File menu.
