Set a fixed amount for an individual line's subtotal or the project's grand total. When a fixed total is entered, the margin percentage for all applicable Worksheet lines is automatically adjusted in order to arrive at the specified amount.
Notes:
- The Fixed Total feature is only available in the Premier edition of Measure.
- The project must be flagged as Commercial in order to utilize Fixed Totals.
How To:
Establish a Fixed Subtotal for an Individual Line
1. Click the button next to the line's Subtotal. |
2. In the window that appears, click the "Fixed" tab. |
3. Enter an amount in the "Fixed subtotal" field and click OK. At this point, the line's "Margin%" field will display a percentage and become uneditable. Additionally, the line's "Subtotal" field will become editable and a icon will appear next to the subtotal to indicate that a fixed subtotal is being used. To remove a Fixed Subtotal, repeat steps one and two, then choose the "Calculated" tab, and click OK. |
Establish a Fixed Grand Total for the Project
1. Click the button next to the Grand Total at the bottom of the Worksheet. |
2. In the window that appears, click the "Fixed" tab. |
3. Enter an amount in the "Fixed grand total" field and click OK. At this point, the "Margin%" field for all lines will display a percentage and become uneditable. Additionally, a icon will appear next to all Subtotal fields and and the Grand Total in order to indicate that a Fixed Grand Total is in use. To remove a Fixed Grand Total, repeat steps one and two, then choose the "Calculated" tab, and click OK. |
