Setting Fixed Totals

Set a fixed amount for an individual line's subtotal or the project's grand total. When a fixed total is entered, the margin percentage for all applicable Worksheet lines is automatically adjusted in order to arrive at the specified amount.

Notes:

  • The Fixed Total feature is only available in the Premier edition of Measure.
  • The project must be flagged as Commercial in order to utilize Fixed Totals.

How To:

Establish a Fixed Subtotal for an Individual Line

1.  Click the Fixed_Total_Button.png button next to the line's Subtotal.

2.  In the window that appears, click the "Fixed" tab.

3.  Enter an amount in the "Fixed subtotal" field and click OK.

At this point, the line's "Margin%" field will display a percentage and become uneditable. Additionally, the line's "Subtotal" field will become editable and a Locked_Subtotal_Icon.png icon will appear next to the subtotal to indicate that a fixed subtotal is being used.

To remove a Fixed Subtotal, repeat steps one and two, then choose the "Calculated" tab, and click OK.

Establish a Fixed Grand Total for the Project

2.  In the window that appears, click the "Fixed" tab.

At this point, the "Margin%" field for all lines will display a percentage and become uneditable. Additionally, a Locked_Subtotal_Icon.png icon will appear next to all Subtotal fields and and the Grand Total in order to indicate that a Fixed Grand Total is in use.
